Day 2 Cape Jervis

Day 2 started with some great weather so we took a few detours to Second Valley & Rapid Bay. Rapid Bay had a great little camping area right on the beach, and some lovely surrounding grazing land, apparently the cow's were doing ok on the paddy's curse.
We spotted the Starfish Hill wind farm as we headed closer to Cape Jervis and later on went exploring a bit more around that area after lunch.

First stop tho we headed to the Ferry Terminal & checked out a ferry heading off to KI, & the start of the Heysen Trail. Then down to Fishery Beach which had some ruins of what was once a whaling station (around 1840's & 50's) and  then a shipping port for exporting ore from the nearby Talisker silver & lead mine in the 1860's.

Found a quaint little caravan park/ farm stay place nearby so decided to stay the night somewhere civilized! Had a spot of lunch at the park then headed off exploring again, up around the wind farm, and then back into town to watch another ferry unload.
